"My art merges my interest in marine life and passion for conservation. I strive to blend the bold and the beautiful aesthetic of New York City with that of nature. My pieces are meant to change the way people perceive the passé notion of a "trophy fish".
I originally conceptualized my Lionfish art to be a synthesis between fine art and socially conscious efforts to bring public awareness to the issues surrounding this invasive species and the negative impact it is having on U.S. waters and the ecosystem. This lead to a collaboration with Whole Foods Market’s Take A Bite Out Of Lionfish at Patricia Field’s ArtFashion pop-up during Art Basel 2016. The healthy grocer was the first to introduce lionfish to their line of seafood products and I support their mission to move the seafood industry toward greater sustainability and creating healthier ecosystems. I am a native New Yorker and proudly serve on the board of The Lower East Side Girls Club. I am an official partner with the conservation societies Oceana and SharkTeamOne."
